A commercial building with a hotel licence in the vibrant Newcastle East Precinct is being offered for sale via auction through Ray White Commercial Newcastle.

The architecturally designed property at 6/23 Watt Street, Newcastle, is being marketed by Ray White Commercial Newcastle Principal John Parnham. John Parnham said the approximately 756 sqm property was suitable for a hotel, bar, gymnasium or commercial office space.

“This building is tremendously appealing both internally and externally,” he said.

“The property has been a bar but it can easily be converted to suit any use such asfood and beverage, a city gym or an office space for a professional services firm.

“It’s located in Newcastle’s historic East Precinct – the birthplace of Australia’s second oldest city.

“The streetscapes feature gracious heritage buildings and the precinct showcases some of the nation’s most significant sites.”

John Parham said a hotel licence and poker machine entitlements were to be offered firstly to the purchaser of the property and if not required would be then sold separately.

The auction will be held on-site at 1.15pm on Thursday, November 1, 2012.
